'Filling In' Ends 2017 with 55 Film Festival Awards
In just its first seven-months on the film festival circuit, Dadley Productions' comedy-fantasy short, Filling In earned awards in eight states across the United States, as well as in Canada, England, Italy, and Lithuania for a total of 55 wins from the 41 festivals that it was screened at in 2017. The first award wins for Filling In were announced from the Los Angeles Independent Film Awards on May, 9th 2017 for Best Direction and Best Editing, and the most recent accolades came from the London Film Awards on December, 22nd where Filling In won Best Director and Best Supporting Actor. Along with the 55 wins, Filling In also earned 25 film festival nominations in 2017, including a nod for co-star Karl Holtz for Best Male Support in a Short Film from the Sydney Indie Fest, in Sydney, Australia.
The next screening of Filling In will be at the Miami International Science Fiction Festival on Sunday, January 14, 2018, and the comedy-fantasy short will continue on the film festival circuit through July of 2018.
